In the not-too-distant past, in Sicily, the appellation “Vossia” (coming from the Spanish 'Vuestra Senoria') implied privilege; a person’s social position or status demanded an obsequious way of addressing someone both worthy and eminent.

Although this etiquette has definitively been superseded by the advent of the modern era, it used to be part of a varied cultural heritage of popular customs that, in our opinion, evoke a grace and elegance only apparently faded by time.

It is from this age-old perspective, vibrant with humanity, that we have restored the slow, courteous and reserved modus vivendi that ruled the social life of those who have gone before us and that has become the guiding principle of our concept of Hospitality.
